Law of Attraction Forum for Network Marketers

March 31st, 2007 by Jeff Neil

I just started a new forum for us network marketers to discuss The Law of Attraction. These days everyone is talking about the movie The Secret. Understanding this law is pretty important in my opinion. BUT, I often wonder if we take it out of context, and use it as an excuse to be lazy.

I know I have in the past, and I’m pretty sure many, many other people do as well. Long before The Secret was made, and many other related publications were written there was a book called The Science of Getting Rich.

In that book this law is never called the law of attraction, but it has the same meaning. And one of the principles in that book was about ACTION. So here we are as network marketers. Busting our butts sometimes trying to build a network marketing organization.

Some of us bust our asses off and get almost no results. And others it seems as if they do almost nothing, yet have awesome results.

The law of attraction does come into play here. As well as action. Why don’t you join me at this Forum: Cuz It`s The Law - of Attraction for Network Marketers. Let’s share what is working for us as this law applies. Lets brainstorm and mastermind how we can use this principle to help build our downlines.

See ya there

How my Websites have Become High on Search Engines

March 25th, 2007 by Jeff Neil

I just read an article written by my VERY good friend, Julieanne, van Zyl. Julieanne and I have been friends and “marketing buddies” for years. We do not promote the same opportunites, yet we are always helping each other out. Sharing ideas, and basically doing what ever we can to get each other more and more success.

And that’s EXACTLY what we need to be doing as an entire industry. Doesn’t happen much though, does it?

Anyway. Three or four years ago I told Julieanne we need to pay more attention to creating our own leads through the search engines. At THAT time, my websites ranked very well in the search engines, and they were good to me.

NOW though, the tables have turned. Julieanne is much better at getting high rankings in my opinion, and it is with great pleasure I share her article with you.

This is a must read if you want free traffic for your business. And after you read it I think you will understand why I partner with Julieanne in our free beginners blog course

I Give You Permission to Make More Money

March 23rd, 2007 by Jeff Neil

I, Jeff Neil, hereby give THEE permission to make more money. What the ?

Can you imagine yourself asking me if you can make more money? Of course not. Do I have the RIGHT to say you can, or can not make more money, add more income streams to your business, and live a better life than you are right now?

NO I DO NOT>

And why should I? Who am I to control how you run your business? HOW would I ever have that much AUTHORITY, unless you gave it to me?

This almost sounds stupid, doesn’t it? But it happens in network marketing every stinking day. Hmmm.

Awhile back a nice lady asked me if I could help her with marketing online. She told me she promoted the same company I do and wanted to know if it was OK since she was not in my downline. Or was it against the rules.

RULES?

First let me say I applaud her for seeking help. Most network marketers do not have much experience in Internet marketing. They don’t. And there is not a thing wrong with that.

And there is not a thing with not wanting to break the rules. That’s how we were raised. That’s what society says to do. To not break the rules.

Hell, I was a cop. I ENFORCED the “rules”. Until I couldn’t stand it any longer.

But when it comes to BUSINESS, when it comes to putting cash in your pocket, who is making the rules you think you need to follow? No I’m not talking about the FTC or the FDA, IRS or any other government agency. You prolly SHOULD follow those rules.

Cuz I don’t want to have to put you in handcuffs.

What I’m talking about is what you can and can not promote. What you can and can not sell. How you can and can not earn an income? Are you limited by how many income streams you can have? Says who, your upline?

That’s what I’m talking about here. That nice lady, I know she and I do not have the same sponsor. Couldn’t. Because my sponsor never told me how I could and could not earn an income.

It just wouldn’t happen. Not to me you don’t! You see, my business is not called XYZ mlm company. My Business is called Jeff Neil. ( And yours should be called YOUR NAME ).

And I market different products to different people. In other words, I don’t JUST want to build a downline. I even make income from Google Adsense and Yahoo. But I’m not getting into that here.

My point  I want to get across is this. When you only focus on building a downline you are leaving a lot of money on the table. Regardless of what your upline tells you. Simple math.

Go ahead. Grab your calculator. Figure out how many people it will take in your downline to reach your financial goals. 500 people. 1,000 people. 10,000?

I really hope you’re there. Or at least getting close. The problem is you’re probably not.. And  the majority never will be. Now if you’re getting mad, and I don’t blame you if you are….

Don’t blame me. You’ve been hosed but I didn’t do it!

Does that mean I think there is something wrong with MLM? Not at all. I just think there is something wrong with counting on a downline as your only source of income.

I’m pretty sure I will lose some friends with this. That’s not my goal, but so be it. It’s time more people were telling you what is really going on. It’s time more people understood there is money being left on the table. Money you could probably have for yourself if you were ever shown the math.

And I’m going to show you the math. Plus I will explain the ONLY three ways any business, of any type can ever increase its revenue. Its profit. And you do want more profit, right?

But I’ll save it for a later day. Until then, think about your business model. Do you have more than one income stream? Do you want more money? If someone explained how it was done, would you WANT to?

That will always be for you to decide. Not me. Not your upline.

Something to seriously think about.

Why I Don’t Blog About MLM

March 16th, 2007 by Jeff Neil

I do not blog about mlm. I don’t blog about network marketing. It looks like I do. But what I really blog about is me, Jeff Neil, and what I have learned about this stuff (mosly from Joe Schroeder BTW). At first glance, that doesn’t even seem to make sense, does it?

But there is a subtle, yet profound difference. Check this out.

If I wasa bloggin’ ’bout M L MMMM I could write about anything. I could telly you about Company XYZ’s newest product. Or how such and such company got shut down by the FTC. Or how about the one where that heavy hitter comes out of retirement just to start promoting this new network marketing deal that is just SOOO good. And of course it  just happens to be in pre-launch.

I could have a blog with all of that. And I could have Google adsense all over the place.

And there is nothing wrong with Adsense. I have some of them sites.

But this blog is about me, hopefully helping you, get more income out of YOUR mlm business. That sounds conceited but it’s not. It’s just good business. And there is more than one reason why I suggest you do something similar.

As a matter of fact I am willing to help you get started at this free beginners blogging course.

But for now, back to why. One of the things I  know is that your prospects are spying on you. Mine are spying on me. They want to know who you are, are you for real, do you know, do you care, are you honest, and probably what color underwear you have on RIGHT NOW.

So if you want them to know what color Underoo’s you have on before they join your mlm opp than you have to tell them. You have to feed them the information they are looking for, so they will feel safe, and having a blog is a good way to do that.

And here’s another situation where having your own blog might help you. Let’s say you’ve been working this lead. You follow up with them. call them, or whatever. Now you get them on your opportunity call. Well while they are on that call they hear BIG SHOT GURU on the phone and decide to Google the guru. Now they found the guru’s link and joins YOUR deal under Mr. Big Shot.

Doooesn’t that just P you off? It sure does me! But by me having a blog I stand a better chance to give people a reason to join ME instead of Mr (or MRS) Big Shot. You know, show off my charming personality or something.

Having a blog about your mlm business will give you a chance to show what YOU have to offer. I mean, what’s so special about you? I don’t know what it is. But there is something. I guarantee it. So be brave and strut your stuff.

The third advantage about blogging that comes to mind right this second is credibilty. I am a direct response kind of guy usually. That means I would normally use a one page website, capture their info, and then show my goods, so to speak.

But I have noticed over the past year that when you recommend a product or service on a blog the response rate can be much higher. It’s less “salesy”. Especially if you can get people coming back to your blog. It’s a relationship building tool. So when you are recommending something, even show how you use it, a blog can be quite effective.

AHH, one more thing. Comments. As your blog becomes more and more popular (and this usually takes time) you will start getting people to comment. Your readers will comment and often leave a link. Sometimes that’s the only reason they do comment. But if they have something worth saying, and they also happen to leave a link to THEIR mlm deal, that’s OK.

It’s still worth it. The extra content helps with search engines and also gives a community atmosphere.

So there you have it. For now. Don’t forget that if you would like help getting started with your own blog takes this interactive blogging course. It’s free and we can guide you along the way. Who else is going to do that for ya?

Why Robert Blackman Impresses Me

March 15th, 2007 by Jeff Neil

Robert Blackman impresses the hell out of me. If you don’t know who he is, he is the CEO of MLM Mastermind. That’s nice. But that’s not what really impresses me. I mean there are tons of CEO’s around. Big Deal.

Yeah, he’s made millions in mlm. And that’s great too, but still not exactly what impresses me. What IMPRESSES me is the fact that he takes the time to respond to email. He takes the time to CALL.

For example: I am one of his affiliates. Not anyone special. Robert and I are not friends. We don’t hang out in the same circles. He is a master and I am a student. And YOU probably know more about me than he does.

Yet he still takes the time to contact me personally. Like the one time he sent out an email to his affiliates asking for some feedback. I replied and he emailed me back to say thanks. Even gave me an update to what was going on.

I know you’re thinking this is no big deal. It’s just email. But this IS a big deal, and I’ll get to why in a minute. But first another example. Yesterday, on a SATURDAY…. Robert CALLED me just to tell me he was trying to email me and it kept bouncing.

Like I said, I am no one special to him. This is how he treats EVERYONE. At least as far as I know.

So I want you to  yourself this question. Are you treating people you are in contact with, with the same amount of respect? Do you think I will continue to do business with Robert Blackman, just because he has enough emotional intelligence to RESPOND to people.

I do. And do you think your prospects are more likely to join your deal if you show you care about them? And maybe your downline might actually STAY with you, simply because you treat them with honor and respect?

I DO!

Jeeesh. It’s pretty bad when just simple common courtesy makes a person stand out in this industry. But network marketing has come to this. Nobody wants to be bothered. Nobody has the time to HELP the other guy. Too many people don’t return phone calls. Don’t reply to email.

Hello. Anyone home? This is a people business. Get the $$ signs out of your eyes and start taking care of people. THEN, and ONLY then, they might maybe start taking care of you.
