Franklin Delano Roosevelt Leadership Quote

January 18th, 2008 by Jeff Neil

Some things come from the strangest places. There I was sick in bed ( okay, on the couch) watching the Young and the Restless.

And I can’t stand day time soaps.

But this quote got my attention. I find it very fitting for well intentioned network marketers who just can’t seem to get anyone under them. No matter how hard they try.

I hope you’ll read this quote, and really, really think about this.

Leadership:

“It is a terrible thing to look over your shoulder when you are trying to lead – and find no one there.”
Franklin Delano Roosevelt

And if this describes you, why do you think no one is there?

Sure would like some feedback on this one.

What do you think?

How to Profit with the Micro Downline Concept

January 11th, 2008 by Jeff Neil

Most network marketers focus all their time and energy building one downline in one program. Focus is a good thing of course. And so is being consistent. But when you only build one business it usually takes tons and tons of people.

You will have to look at your own compensation plan to find out just how many people it will take to reach your goals. But you can bet that it will take more than the average networker will ever accomplish.

Sorry, but that’s just they way it is. Call it a reality check.

There are options of course. And I certainly am not against mlm. Not even close. But these days it’s time to look at things a little differently.

At least for the little guy. And the bigger fish already know this.

One thing to consider is a funded proposal. These are becoming quite popular. A requirement as far as I am concerned. And these can include selling your own product or using someone else’s system.

One thing you really must be doing is building a list. You know, an email list. Everybody is talking about Web 2.0 these days. And that’s all fine and dandy. However you still need to gather as many optins as you can that want to hear from you.

That is exactly why I created The MLM Newsletter System. Because I know having your own newsletter, or ezine is very important to build trust and relationships. To brand yourself. And to add more income streams to your business portfolio.

But there are so many people that do not know where to start, even though they would like to publish their own newletter. So that’s what the system does. It gets people started.

So, assuming you are building up your fan base. You are getting subscribers left and right. What’s next? Next would be adding income streams.

Because if you are taking my advice you are taking control. You are the one who decides what to promote. And that could be a long list of many things you could earn from.

But no matter what you do, what you offer, the smartest move you will ever make is to earn multiple times from the same people. Repeat buyers.

For example. If you were working full tilt with me, you would be promoting Joe Schroeder products like his Theater of Prosperity package which right now is $1,341 and pays out $800 but is changing real soon to a $2,041 program paying $1,000 on the first level and $500 on the second level.

You would also be selling these mlm leads from Robert Blackman. This would be a residual income stream that pays 15% on the first level and 40% on the second level. The comp plan is changing a little shortly, for the better, but as it is right now you can earn $700 a month with only 20 people.

Next would be Leaders Club. This is a company I highly recommend. Not only do they provide you with mlm leads but they have what I believe to be the best generic network marketing training available. Hundreds of hours of audio training. Weekly calls. Articles. A generic prospecting system. And a superb customer service.

Not only is this something that will benefit you as a member, but also can be used to build, yes, another residual income stream.

Now no way am I going to bore you with every last little thing I promote to earn income from. Hey, a man has got to have some secrets. But I might as well mention what some people would consider a primary opportunity. The Holy Tea Club. A little $40 program with a matrix pay plan. This is a start up mlm deal that I am quite fond of.

So this would be the major portions of my Micro Downline. Not everybody gets involved in all things. And usually, not all at once. But one thing quite often leads to another. And it is a much easier building a business this way because it requires less people and you can build a very strong team with this method.

You can start doing the same thing. Of course you don’t want to promote three different nutrition products. But you can easily find products and programs that compliment each other.

Don’t Be so Damn Greedy Part 3

March 8th, 2007 by Jeff Neil

Don’t be so damn greedy. If you haven’t yet, read  Part 1

Then read  Part 2

So as I was saying, the only person I need to compete with is me. I’ve said this before. The only person you need to compete with is you.

I NEED to compete with myself. If I am not willing to do better today than I did yesterday I am stagnant. I am not growing, so I must be DYING.

So I have to do My best, not someone else’s best, to compete with myself. Every day.And every day it is a challenge. I have to challenge myself  to be a better person. To provide better service. To take more action.

If you want to change your INCOME, you have to change your life. You know this. You can not change your income and be the same person at the same time. It’s not possible.

And you can’t half step in mlm. Not even a little bit. Because if you do the people playing full court press are going to STEAL your lunch money.

So it all boils down to not being greedy. To being the best you can be. The greatest you can be. Providing the best service to others you possibly can. And you CAN DO this.

Now when I say don’t be greedy I don’t mean you should give everything away for free. That would be NUTS. But what I am saying is give extreme value, somehow, that only you can.

Here’s a personal example. At the top of this you seen an offer for 100 free mlm leads. It’s a two tier residual affiliate program and it is obvious I want to build a downline and another income stream with it. For money. Make no mistake about it.

But the difference is what I PERSONALLY offer for bonuses. I will personally BUY Joe Schroeder’s $97 Warriors Nest for anyone that joins this. I will buy it and pay Joe to ship it.

I could just sell it.

I also GIVE access to my $197 Online Information Marketing package. I could just sell that too. But to ME, that’s being on the greedy side. And a business based on pure greed is not the way I choose to do things. I want to offer the best value I CAN, and sleep good at night.

That makes me a better person. That makes me DIFFERENT than anyone else because no one can give the same value. No one.

The thing is, you can offer even better. Sure, you could also offer to buy Joe’s Warrior’s Nest. Anyone can do that. But on top of that you are unique. You have SOMETHING of value to offer that only you can. Everyone does.

So don’t just focus on the money. Yes, make money. But do so by SERVING.

Don’t Be So Damn Greedy Part 2

March 4th, 2007 by Jeff Neil

If you haven’t read Part 1 do so here

Continuing……

Like I was saying, feel it in your heart. If you are prospecting, trying to get people to join your downline you really need to BELIEVE they can make money at it. You need to believe they are capable. Believe in them AND what you do.

Cuz sometimes you come across people you know darn well do not have a prayer. This industry is not for them. Don’t trick them. Don’t convince them they can make money from home with NO WORK.

Keep it real.

And same thing when you retail products. You need to BELIEVE it does what YOU say it does. If not, retail something else. Your disbelief will show through. You can not hide it.

That’s one of the things I like about my little candle business . It’s just a candle. And I swear on my Grandmother’s grave it WILL DO exactly what a candle is supposed to  do. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Well that’s great, and all that. But what else? How about competition? I don’t compete with you. It doesn’t make sense to. First of all, I really REALLY want the very best for you. I hope you have a HUGE downline. A huge FOLLOWING. Bigger than what I can ever do myself.

I want to be of SERVICE. To you and our mlm industry. It’s wise to. Re-read The Science of Getting Rich. And if was WORRIED that you might be doing better than I am, I would not be focusing on my own business. And I would not be improving ANYTHING. I would actually be going down hill.

Am I making sense?

I don’t compete with my upline. How could I? I have different sponsors for different programs and they KNOW MORE than I do. They have more experience. So instead of being jealous. Instead of saying they do so good because blah, blah, blah, blah, blah….

What I need to do is shut up and LISTEN. To get inside their heads. Inside their hearts. So I can learn what they know. So I CAN compete with the ONE PERSON I need to compete with. Me.

This is the end of Part 2. Part 3 coming SOON to a theater near you……

Why You Could Be Struggling in Network Marketing

March 1st, 2007 by Jeff Neil

I was watching a religious show last Sunday, which is not something I normally do. But it caught my attention while I was channel surfing, and to tell you the truth I am glad it did.

I’m not an overly religious man. My wife on the other hand spends several hours every week doing things with and/or for the church she belongs to. I rarely go. But I should go more because every time I do go the subject seems to relate to being successful.

This “sermon” I was watching was about why people suffer. Why they struggle. And this is not about religion by the way. It’s ’bout life. And for us network marketers, mlm is part of our lives that often brings one hell of a struggle.

So this man on TV says that the struggling and suffering is not punshment. It’s more to teach us something. For example perseverance. Or to build character.

Nobody WANTS to struggle. OK, almost nobody. I know I don’t want to. And I don’t like seeing you struggle either. But if we can step back from it and just look at it, there really is some good that comes from our struggle. We just have to be aware enough to see the good.

When I look at my own life, my own struggles, I can see a valuable lesson there. For me, I have learned humility and empathy. If MLM was really as easy as I was first told I never would have developed these traits. Character traits that I get to KEEP for the rest of my life.

So yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. Struggling, believe it or not, IS a good thing.

There is another reason you could be struggling in your netwok marketing business. Why you keep experiencing setbacks. What some people would call FAILURE.

Leadership and Greatness.

Do you read biographies of great pople who have achieved great things. People like Elvis, Ray Kroc, Thomas Edison, Abe Lincoln? Ever notice how much these great leaders with a vision STRUGGLED first?

You have to understand. Nature has a set of rules. Laws. That’s just how it is. Nature, by its very design takes care of itself.

That’s why nature will never allow weak people to make it to the top. If they do, they will not stay there. To be on top you are going to have to struggle first. Nature is going to TEST you. Nature will keep knocking you down to see if you have what it takes to get back up again.

And if you will just get back up again enough times VICTORY will be yours. It really will.

My wish for you is that if you are struggling you will look for the value in it. You will use what you learn for the good of other people. And that you never give up.

We really need you.
