21 Ways to Create Online MLM Leads

June 20th, 2008 by Jeff Neil

Over the last nine years, of all those secret marketing tactics I have tried one thing and one thing only has stood the test of time and produced, over and over again.

This one thing worked hands above everything else in 1999 and it is still the most effective thing, even more so, in 2008.

That one thing I’m talking about?

List building. Creating your own MLM leads.

I first learned this concept from Joe Schroeder. And it’s okay if you have never heard of him. I have and I own thousands of dollars worth of his information.

Sounds like a lot, but I take my learning seriously. Because I take my business seriously.

But one of the things Joe shared with me is that one of his mentors was Dale Calvert. Now I had heard of Dale but never paid much attention. Not until Joe mentioned his name.

Now I am paying attention. Because a trick I learned about seven years ago that has really made a difference. That trick is to not just listen to what those gurus say…

But watch what they actually do.

So I have been watching Dale Calvert. For example one thing I saw was how he built his list getting other people to sell his little $8 report. Sneaky? Maybe. Effective? You betcha.

But the better news is he is now sharing 21 Ways to Create Online MLM Leads. I just bought this myself. Was shocked at the $297 bonus which I almost bought the other week, and now I don’t have to.

Here’s Your Chance to Legally Steal 21 No Cost Methods Dale Uses Month After Month to Attract 40,000 Visitors a Day 21 Ways to Create Online MLM Leads

No wimpy ebook here gang. Don’t look if you ain’t serious.

Magnetic Attraction Marketing with an MLM Newsletter

May 6th, 2008 by Jeff Neil

Can you believe I sprained my finger opening my car door? Yup, and it makes it hard to type. But that won’t stop me from telling you about the advantages of publishing your own mlm newsletter or how doing so will help you be a more magnetic, attractive ( but maybe not any better lookin’ ) network marketer.

This industry is changing. More and more people are fed up with all the hype. People don’t want to see your opportunity if you’re cramming it down their throat. They are tired of recruiters pretending to be your friend just so you might join their mlm program, whatever it is that happens to be the greatest business since sliced bread.

Those methods still work but they are less and less effective as each day goes by. And it will not get any easier.

What people really want is good quality information, leadership, and just to be able to find someone they can trust. Leads, prospects, and other network marketers want to do research and poke around at their pace to make decisions on their own time.

They do not want to talk to you until they want to talk to you.

Let’s repeat that. They do not want to talk to you until they want to talk to you. The key to magnetic sponsoring is getting people to want to talk to you. Attracting them to you.

How You Do Dat?

The simple answer is to give people what they want. Somehow help them achieve their goals, not yours. Of course there are many ways you can do this. More ways than any one human being could do all of those things. But an excellent way that is also one of the easiest is to publish an informative newsletter or ezine.

You do not have to be a writer. You do not have to be an expert. What you do have to be is a trustworthy resource. And you can absolutely do that.

This is what you need.

A newsletter that provides valuable information. You can write that yourself. Hire someone to write for you. Interview experts. Use articles other people have written. Or use the free system I created.

A website such as a lead capture page or blog where people can opt in to request your newsletter

A marketing campaign, paid or free, to get traffic and visitors to promote your newsletter.

An autoresponder such as Aweber to deliver your newsletter to your list of subscribers.

As you build your list and generate leads the key thing to remember is to build that relationship.

Encourage feedback. Get your subscribers involved.

Without having to worry about hardcore email marketing techniques you can easily just drip on them once a week. Avoid cramming your opportunity down their throat.

Just sign off each issue with your name, email address ( phone number if you dare ) and a link to your opportunity. What will work even better is a generic program such as Leaders Club for example, or a funded proposal or system.

As you continue to build trust people will respond to you, respect you, and join you. Plus you will have continuing means to add more income as opportunities and products come along that you can recommend.

I encourage you to start building a list now if you have not started yet.

Happy Newsletter Publishing

My Private Classroom Exposed. Truth From the First Insider

April 21st, 2008 by Jeff Neil

My Private Classroom is a group of very professional network marketers, with the common goal of helping other network marketers succeed. As lame as that sounds that is exactly what it is.

We are a private group. A marketing club if you will. And I was actually the very first member. But the important question is what is it that we really do.

It’s simple. We learn from each other and we teach each other.

We concentrate on social media marketing techniques, communication skills, and leadership. We teach people how to promote themselves, generate their own leads, and become an attractive marketer.

You can pretty much consider this community cutting edge networkers.

We are on the forefront of the newest technology and traffic generating techniques. Myself and other leaders are constantly paying good money for courses to stay current. And then we can turn around and teach what we learn and use to help the newer members of our community.

The difference is we don’t just give you the information and leave you hanging. We are real people. Real marketers. So you can ask questions and get them answered by people you trust. Plus you never have to worry about looking silly.

For me, the members of My Private Classroom are really like family.

It doesn’t matter if it is people I am helping learn something, or a member I am learning from. It’s all about sharing.

Of course we have an interactive forum which is very busy. But we also have several weekly calls and webinars that are exclusively for members. Here is an example of a typical week.

Upcoming Training Schedule: Week of 4/14- 4/18

Monday, April 14th @ 7:00 PM EST- Profile Critiques with Kristen

Tuesday, April 15th @ 8:00 PM EST- Video Talk with Kristen and Juli

Tuesday, April 15th @ 10:30 PM EST- Utterz 101 with Barbie

Wednesday, April 16th @ 12:00 Noon EST- The Geek Hour with Yisel: Web 2.0 for Dummies

Wednesday, April 16th @ 7:00 PM EST- The power of GMAIL: How to use GMAIL to your advantage with Jerry

Wednesday, April 16th @ 10:30 PM EST- Facebook Basics with Julie

Thursday, April 17th @ 1:00 PM EST- Q & A Cafe with Juli

Thursday, April 17th @ 8:00 PM EST- Mastermind Session with Diane

Friday, April 18th @ 3:00 PM EST- Becca’s Buzz Session- Blogging 101

And these webinars aren’t just interactive. They are fun. Sometimes very funny.

So here’s the deal. We cover a lot of topics. Personally I don’t need that much help wth blogging. I actually have my own section in the forum for blogging with Wordpress.

Look for my upcoming MLM Blog Course.

And I have been known to give a tip or two on article marketing as well as some other topics.

But if it wasn’t for this community I probably still would not even own a digital camera. Let alone upload videos to YouTube and other places for video marketing.

Once in awhile we also do public webinars that anyone can come to.

Our next one is Thursday, April 24th at 9:00 pm EST. Go register at www.webinarsgonewild.com and tell them Jeff Neil sent you.

So that pretty much covers it. Except for how do you actually join.

Of course you knew there was a catch, didn’t you? And OK, you got me. Yes there is a catch. But it’s a good one.

You have to become a member of Leaders Club with us to be a member of My Private Classroom.

But I don’t believe for a second you will be disappointed when you do.

Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You about Web 2.0 Social Media Marketing

April 14th, 2008 by Jeff Neil

Don’t say I didn’t warn you. All this fancy social networking, Web 2.0…. stuff.

There’s a twitter and a twhirl, and then there’s a tweet. There’s My Space and your space and a book for your face. You can Digg or you can Stumble or do something with a Tube. But if you’re not careful you’ll look like a…. (fool?)

Seriously though, the MLM Industry is changing. Yes you still have people cold calling leads, and some distributors are out doing belly to belly. But people are starting to realize that nobody trusts anyone.

We as marketers appear as the enemy. As the bad guy. NObody trusts us which makes building a long term, strong downline pretty darn difficult.

So we have to build that trust. Earn it. To do that today in 2008 means we have to stop cramming our great opportunity in our prospects faces and become part of our prospects lives.

Gently, we want to go from being part of a group to leading our own group. To do that we have to share. And to the best of our ability we need to teach. To train. To lead.

We need to create a presence online like what is taught at My Private Classroom.

But here’s my warning. As network marketers are trying to keep up with all the hype. All the new technology, its’ very easy to get lost. Confused. And completey swept away and lose focus.

We are very social creatures. It’s easy to get so involved in socializing online that we can forget we are actually in business. Or we can get consumed with trying to just learn all there is to learn about what’s new.

But you will never learn all the tricks. All the secrets sites and special tools. You can however learn enough. In time, with effort you can become well known, well liked, and succeed in network marketing, in business, and in life like you have never been able to in history.

You do need a game plan though. You can’t just go running around doing this or doing that, just for the sake of doing. I am warning you. Have a plan. Focus on your desired outcome and not just on fun things you think are getting you there.

Funded Proposal System or an MLM Newsletter… Which One?

April 9th, 2008 by Jeff Neil

You know, funded proposals are great. If they are built right. If they have the right product. The right compensation for you. The right sales letter, the right follow up series.

As long as, if whoever is in charge of the thing made sure the sales copy is good.

No doubt. They are a good thing that can put some serious bucks in your bank.

But have you ever considered the down side?

First, unless you created it yourself ( and if you did, good for you ) it’s costing you money. OK, everything costs money. You can’t even get a free loaf of bread when you fill up your gas tank anymore.

But you have to consider, is this system a marketing tool that is actually increasing your business, or is it just financing a dream.

And what about the leads you generate. Are they really yours? After they optin at that squeeze page what can you do with them besides just let the follow up email letters pitch whatever it is you want your prospects to buy?

Usually that’s it. You don’t have any control. You don’t have the ability to offer them more. You don’t look any different than anyone else.

And that’s OK with you right? Because all you want to do is earn money. Cool. But what if you wanted to earn more money? What then.

These automated funded proposal systems…. They do not last forever. And when they are gone, so are your leads. So is the ability to earn from all that work. Gone.

I don’t know about you but I am not about to put all that blood, sweat, and tears into a business model that is destined not to last.

That’s crazy.

But what if you could do the same thing, only better.

You could build your list. You could offer products, training, leads, tools, whatever. Plus at the same time be promoting yourself.

That’s what makes publishing a generic network marketing newsletter so effective. Because now you have the ability to put you into the picture. To build that trusting relationship.

To create fans that want to hear what you have to say. And still be able to promote what it is you promote, build a downline in whatever opportunity you’re working. Only easier.

So how do you do that?

Obviously the first thing you need is to have a newsletter. I have actually done that for you if you need help getting started. My free system is only meant to get you started. It does go out for over six months. Plenty of time to get really good at it.

But long term you should take over and have complete control. I have given you the ability to do that. Plus the social network community to assist you with email marketing.

How do you promote a newsletter or ezine?

The same way you do anything else. You send traffic to it. And my new blog will be concentrating on just that. How to get traffic using content. Blogging, video, article marketing, RSS, etc.

But’s not to be revealed yet, so stay tuned…
